At Cedars, our mission is simple: providing superior quality care and service so that patients, their families, and our communities can achieve full recovery from addiction.
An important part of this mission is the continued commitment to strengthen our outcomes by reflecting on what helps create success for our patients and areas in which we can improve.
As a licensed healthcare provider, Cedars at Cobble Hill participates in regular, in-depth reviews by the Vancouver Island Health Authority and is bound by other licensing standards for care facilities. But like everything we do, we strive to go above and beyond the basic requirements in order to contribute to advancement in the field of addictions treatment. That’s why Cedars at Cobble Hill is proud to be recognized as an accredited residential addictions treatment centre and recipients of the Accreditation Primer Award from Accreditation Canada.
To receive this accreditation, Cedars participated in Accreditation Canada’s primer survey; a process which reviewed all of our systems and structures, ensuring that we uphold industry guidelines and standards of care. This award comes to us as validation that we are succeeding in our mission to provide quality outcomes for our patients. But it also serves as an important reminder that we need to continue to champion innovation by facilitating and promoting the generation of new ideas. Looking forward, we will use the outcomes of the survey to increase efficiency, enhance quality, and reduce risk for both our patients and staff.
An independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of health for all, Accreditation Canada assesses health and social service organizations using standards of best practices. For more information on Accreditation Canada, visit https://accreditation.ca/
